CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR

Greensburg Community High School has a part time position available for a CTE Coordinator.    
Salary: Negotiable
Job Qualifications:

  • Evidence of CTE Counseling and Programming
  • Experience working with students in a high school and post-secondary setting
  • Skilled at developing Industrial Partnerships
  • Successful grant writing experience.

       This is a pilot program that may not have future funding.
       An expanded criminal history background check will be required.

     CTE Duties / Responsibilities:

  1.  Attend Manufacturing Meetings and disseminate info to CTE teachers
  2. Set up Career Day for Sophomores
  3. Set up job Hiring Day for Seniors
  4. Increase Work Based Learning opportunities / Increase student involvement / Recruitment / Increase industry involvement
  5. Oversee all WBL = Ag; Adv Manufacturing; Multiple
  6. Covers Tech Ed, Ag, Business, and FACS
  7. Inters 30 Report
  8. Grant writing
  9. Register students for summer internships
  10. Promotion of CTE Programs – posters, flyers, brochures, announcements, student orientation, open house
  11. Register teachers for summer Externships
  12. Liaison for outside instructors in WELD 100 / TECH 120 / TLI 112 from Ivy Tech and Purdue Polytechnic
  13. Supervise WBL students
    • Select work stations for students
    • Screen students for eligibility in the program
    • Develop training schedules with employers
    • Makeup and distribute contract between employer, student, parent, and school system
    • Supervise students on the job at regular intervals
    • Inspect work stations periodically to insure compliance of school, state, and federal regulations
  14. Works to identify and define local job opportunities and the role of the school in meeting those opportunities
  15. Analyze needs of community – job market
  16. Oversees all equipment and supplies
  17. Meetings with Department Heads = Tech Ed / Business / Ag / FACS
  18. Increase enrollment in Tech Ed classes and Business Classes
  19. Collect and analyze data for driving needs of students and community
  20. Develop / Assist a student organization for CTE or Coordinate Ag – BPA – Others
  21. Design a 3-year, 5-year, and 10- year plan for CTE programs
  22. Take charge of Dream It. Do It. = reports, activities, meetings, etc

GREENSBURG HIGH SCHOOL BUSINESS TEACHER

Greensburg Community High School will have a position available beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.  The candidate must hold a valid Indiana teaching license that includes the ability to teach Business Education.   The position will include teaching a variety of Business courses including: Computer Tech Support and Economics.  The candidate will coordinate the Student Tech Team, assist with computer repairs and A+ Certification.  An expanded criminal history background check will be required.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR

Greensburg Elementary School has a position available for School Counselor, Pre-K thru 5th grades. This new position will be working with our current School Counselor in assisting elementary students. The candidate will work with students to implement developmental, preventative, and responsive strategies to help them succeed. In addition, the candidate will provide daily communication and support for teachers, students, parents, and any administrative or staff member as well as collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to ensure the best outcome for our students.  

Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred.

* Must be a licensed school psychologist, licensed school counselor, or licensed school social worker (with a Master's Degree).
